Okay no the plane isn't actually still wearing the Year of Zayed livery.

But I'm here at Shanghai Pudong Terminal 2, waiting for my flight to Dubai. I'll be flying on board A6-EGZ, which wore the Year of Zayed 2018 livery shown here 5 years ago. I have a long layover at Dubai, where I get to take advantage of Emirates' Dubai Connect service for a free hotel room and a free meal. I do have some fun things planned in Dubai before I head back to the airport to board an A380 bound for Washington D.C. Overall, this itinerary has over 24 hours in the air and 14 more on the ground, making it a long but hopefully enjoyable one.

It's been a weird summer. I'm excited to finally get back to the States. Oh yea also, Boston is no more. Baltimore is my best friend now.
