COMAC ARJ21-700

In 2008, the first flight of the COMAC ARJ21 commenced. This aircraft was one of the few aircraft developed by a Chinese company. It was based on the MD-80 class of aircraft, with a seating capacity of roughly 90 passengers. Several Chinese airlines jumped on the opportunity to acquire aircraft domestically.

Bohai was no exception. In 2019, Bohai placed orders for 30 of the type, with options for 30 more. Deliveries started in late 2020.

B-838A was delivered in May of 2021. It is fitted with 90 economy class passenger seats and flies into lower-density destinations across China.
