Air New Zealand Retro Q300 Poster

With rumours surfacing that at least one of the Q300s being repainted from the teal livery will receive a retro livery, I wanted to explore some examples as to what that could look like. This comes after an interesting post by Air New Zealand themselves showcasing a design of a retro A320 where, in the comment section, they stated that they aren't exploring a retro livery but that they have an exiting announcement coming soon. Who knows. Air New Zealand is one of the most highly requested airlines to do a retro livery that hasn't done so yet in the world, so surely they'll do one eventually, right?

On the topic of Q300s, we do have an answer to the question of their replacement I brought up here: http://www.airline-e...w-zealand-q300/

In summary, they are going to continue operating until the early 2030s. They will replaced with green-emictions aircraft, and additionally all of the old livery Q300s are being repainted this year to the current livery, which shows that they are staying for a few more years at least. So far, ZK-NEE and ZK-NED have been repainted, with ZK-NEF currently getting repainted, and ZK-NEG, the one depicted here, next up. So rest in piece teal/pac-wave livery then.

ZK-NEG: 2006 deHavilland Canada DHC-8-311 / Bombardier Dash 8-Q300 | Air New Zealand | Currently : Active with Air New Zealand, recently returned to service after being stored for over 1 year, to be stored and repainted ~mid-2023 for a few weeks.
