Polonia | Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner "Marie Salomea Skłodowska–Curie"

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner program was selected by Polonia in 2009 to eventually replace their aging Boeing 767-300ER jets. The third example of Polonia's mixed-variant order, shown here, arrived in 2013 - a Boeing 787-8, named after famed Polish-French scientist Marie Curie.

Not only did the introduction of the 787 improve passenger experience on premier long-haul routes like New York and Chicago, it also allowed the airline to pursue its plans of reaching out to destinations like Singapore, Seoul, and Tokyo, and their much awaited return to the West Coast, after a hiatus of flights from Los Angeles for almost two decades.

The airline currently has about 9 787-8s and 6 787-9s.
