Novosibirsk IL-86

Novosibirsk announced the retirement of the IL-86 during 2016, months after completing the painting process of the fleet, after obtaining a contract with Boeing to acquire 777-200LR. The last to retire was RA-86257, which was deactivated and sent to be stored in one of the airline's hangars in Moscow. About 60% of the fleet was reactivated during 2022 due to the war in Ukraine, meanwhile Novosibirsk announced the acquisition of 5 IL-96 to retire the oldest in the fleet.
