In the later years as a FAST affiliate, MAT primarily used a fleet Bombardier CRJs owned by FAST. After rebranding as Maine, the airline purchased most of the fleet from FAST and reconfigured them into a more comfortable configuration, having only 44 seats on board the CRJ-200, 72 on the CRJ-700, and 84 on the CRJ-900. The low density arrangement is complemented by thick leather seats that are wider than competitors, making them not only the most comfortable regional jet, but more comfortable than most competitors’ mainline aircraft.
