4. Guangdong 90s Family Poster

In the mid 80s China Guangdong announced plans to order the new upcoming widebody jets from Boeing and McDonnell Douglas, and so in 1989 they did placing an order for 14 Boeing 777-200s and 10 777-200ERs as well as 22 McDonnell Douglas MD-11s. These planes would join the fleet from 1992 to 2000. By 2008 the majority of the MD-11s would be retired and sold off for scrap while a remaining 6 was retained and converted to freighters. In 2017 the airline retired all the 777-200s and retained the 200ERs up until 2021. Both MD-11s and 777-200ERs were configured in a 3 Class layout and deployed onto services to Europe and North America, some key destinations for these jets were: Hamburg, Milan, Prague, Helsinki, Vancouver and Seattle. As well as serving the Oceanic region heavily with Melbourne and Adelaide being the most common places to see these jets. The airline would configure the 777-200 in a standard 2 Class Layout and be deployed onto high demand domestic routes, PEK - CAN and SZX - PEK as well some medium haul international routes to Bangkok and Hanoi.
