Trans Alaska Airlines - The Alaskan Way.

One of the first air services operating in Alaska and also one of the oldest airlines in the United States, TAA would fly the Last Frontier for over 60 years.

Initially they only flew props but in the late 60s the first jets arrived in the form of the 727 and later 737 with the DHC-6 operating the most northerly routes including Dutch Harbour and Kodiak with seaplanes.

Unfortunately in the late 1980s the airline experienced financial strain which it was unable to weather and would merge with Seattle based Kalakala Airlines in 1991.
