767 Freighter Maintenance Opération

767 Freighter Maintenance Opération

During 2013 Ecuador Cargo announced an expansion of its hub at Quito International Airport, with the addition of aircraft positions and a new sorting center to be built north of the airport.

Having already operated 12 Boeing 767s since 2004, the company decided to turn again to this type of aircraft.

An agreement was signed with the airline ABX Air for the purchase of 6 of its aircraft, but also with the leasing company Aircraft Word Company for the lease of 7 767-300F and 3 767-200F.

The HC-ESC is the first aircraft from ABX Air to be put into service for the Ecuadorian airline. It entered service in 1996 on loan from the Australian company Qantas, and was purchased by Cargo Aircraft Management in 2006, which transformed it into a freighter and then sold it to ABX Air in July 2007.
It finally became the property of Euador Cargo in 2014 following the contract signed with ABX Air.

Here it is in 2017 during a maintenance operation, before joining the painting hangars of Painting Air in Miami to be covered with the new livery of the company.

(I am currently working on the new paint scheme which will be presented to you in a while).
