World Flyers - World Airways Fleet

World Flyers - World Airways Fleet

World Airways began in 1948 with the acquisition of Boeing 314 aircraft. It grew throughout the next few decades, gaining large footholds in the charter market and becoming known for its support efforts in Vietnam. At its peak, the airline operated several 747s and DC-10s. By 2005, it had shrunk to a small, military charter-based airline.

World Airways found new life when it was acquired by Raines Air. Its growth had been stagnating steadily since 2008 and it had a fleet of aging DC-10 and MD-11 aircraft. When the company fully merged with Raines in 2011, its fleet began to get replaced with 767s and 747s. Today, the airline is now Raines' specialized charter subsidiary and operates for many clients, such as sports teams and oil companies.

N645WA originally flew for Vietnam Airlines, First Choice, and Thomson Airways before it was delivered to World in May 2015. It is configured with 6 business class seats and 240 economy seats. N322SG previously flew for All Nippon and Oasis Hong Kong and is fitted with 10 first class seats, 143 business class seats, and 36 economy seats.
