Aviarom, officially Aviarom Romanian International Airlines, is the flag carrier and largest airline of Romania. The airline was founded in 1949 by the government of the RPR and was privatized by Romanian investors in 2009 following the financial crisis.
The Boeing 767-300ER, which Aviarom currently operates six examples of, is the largest aircraft and flagship of the carrier. It serves transatlantic routes as well as routes to the Middle East and holiday charters to various European destinations. Aviarom took delivery of all six 767s as direct orders from Boeing between 2005 and 2008, making them fairly new examples.
At the 2022 Farnborough Airshow, Aviarom announced a MOU for four Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners to replace the 767 fleet. However, due to production line holdups, no estimated finalization or delivery date has been set.
