Ivoirienne (officially SONITA - Société Nationale Ivoirienne des Transports Aériens) is the flag carrier airline of Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast). Founded in 1961 with a small fleet of propeller and jet aircraft, the airline steadily grew during the 1960s and 70s as Côte d'Ivoire's economy grew rapidly. However, the economic downturn of the 1980s forced the airline to cut back some of its operations. Nevertheless, the company carried on into the early 2000s with a fairly modern fleet and continued providing quality service (at least by regional standards). This began to change when Côte d'Ivoire entered a period of domestic turmoil during the early 2000s and the airline's performance suffered. In the early 2010s, as Côte d'Ivoire returned to relative stability, the airline was relaunched under the new brand Ivoirienne and began replacing its older aircraft with newer types. This enabled the company to expand its network and connect its Abijan hub with destinations throughout West Africa.

The airline's logo is the elephant, which is the national symbol of Côte d'Ivoire.
