In 2018, as part of its total fleet modernization, Colombiana introduced the Airbus A321neo as a replacement for its A321ceos. The type primarily operates services to North American destinations and flights to Argentina and Chile. Alongside the E-Jets E2, the A321neo is planned to be the backbone of the airline's expansion into new markets as it seeks to connect all of South America by air in the most effective way possible.
