Lebanon Airways introduced its first A321neo in early 2019. Along with the new aircraft, a new livery was unveiled which pays homage to the airline's past while also reflecting the national colors. It seeks to represent the blend of European/Mediterranean/Arab roots which combine to form the unique Lebanese culture. The stylized cedar tree (the national symbol) is prominent on the tail with the nine branches representing the current nine governorates of Lebanon.
Despite the current economic crisis and instability, the airline is steadily growing and positioning itself to be an important connecting carrier in the region because of Beirut's proximity to Europe, the Persian Gulf, and North Africa. The A321neo and A321LR are the backbone of this growth project due to their range, efficiency, and capacity.
