Cessna Citation CJ-3

AviaJet is a Belgian private airline created in 1985. Initially based at Charleroi airport, the company will expand its activities in the coming years and will start to offer some charter flights from Brussels airport at the end of 2006.
In 2003 the Belgian company specialised in the transport of organs and medical teams, first on a national scale and then quickly on a European scale.
In 2005, AviaJet carried out its first medical evacuation on behalf of a Luxembourg health agency.
Appreciated for their seriousness, between 2007 and 2009 the company gradually approached the Swiss Air Rescue Guard, named REGA. This rescue organisation, which provides medical assistance by air, was keen to have a private partner operating in the medical field on the European continent in order to transfer patients to the many hospitals that can accommodate heavy care. In June 2010, an agreement was reached with REGA on the painting of the AviaJet aircraft so that the aircraft intended to carry out its missions would bear the logo of the Swiss Air Guard in the colours of the Belgian company. Since 2003 AviaJet is equipped with four Cessna CJ-3 equipped with MEDEVAC and a Boeing 737-700 ER (equipped with additional tank) modified for all types of long-range operations (light or heavy).
