Just in case you thought I forgot about this.
Looking to expand upon their growing and reliable 757 fleet, Sierra Pacific would order the 757-300 in a batch of 12 at the at the Farnborough Airshow in 1996. Taking on the first of its units in 1999, the 757-300 would serve primarily on high-capacity transcontinental routes from its hubs in the west to destinations such as Boston, Newark, Miami, Washington DC, and Atlanta. The 757-300 continues to serve with airline in 2022, although a number have been retired or placed into storage in response to the COVID=19 pandemic. It is rumored that Sierra Pacific is considering the Airbus built A321XLR as a suitable replacement for its 757 fleet, although this remains as loose speculation.
