Basque Airlines 2013 ATR partnership ad

Basque Airlines (1B/BAQ) is a small airline based in Bilbao, Spain that has a fleet of five ATR 42-600s. The ATR 42-600s were used to phase out the CASA CN-235-220 aircraft that the airline had been using previously (of which there were four, all of which were retired in 2014).

This ATR ad displays the partnership that Basque Airlines and Franco-Italian turboprop manufacturer Aviones de Transportes Regional (ATR) had with each other, and that was used whilst forging the deal to take the new turboprops.

Basque was the third operator globally to use and take delivery of the ATR 42-600. Additionally, Basque signed on a deal for three ATR 42-600S (the STOL variant of the ATR 42-600) at the 2019 Dubai Air Show, where it was first announced. This poster was made in a joint effort by ATR and Basque to display confidence in the aircraft type. The poster was released in 2016 to the public eye. Most notably, this poster compelled Tahitian carrier Air Bora Bora to place a sizeable order for 15 units, with options for an additional 15.
