All Japan Airways Boeing 727

In addition to the DC-8 and the DC-9, All Japan Airways would also operate the Boeing 727, taking delivery of it's first plane in 1970. It would fly on short-haul routes in Japan alongside the DC-9 and older propeller aircraft. The plane helped relive demand Japanese cities, but it was also used to serve Taipei, Seoul, Busan, Jeju, and Guam. (It would turn out that even with the 727, there still wouldn't be enough supply to meet the massive demand between Japanese cities. Cough cough, next livery, cough) All Japan Airways would operate about four dozen of the 727 variants before they were replaced in the late 1980s.
