Lanka International Airlines (commonly referred to simply as Lanka) is the flag carrier of Sri Lanka and is headquartered at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. Originally founded as Colombo International Airways during the 1950s, when Sri Lanka (also known as Ceylon) was a dominion within the Commonwealth of Nations, the airline was renamed as Lanka International Airlines when the nation became a republic in the early 1970s.
In the 1990s, Lanka International began partnering with major carriers in Asia in order to expand its network. The airline also implemented a major modernization program which led to the introduction of the A320 family and later the A330 as the backbones of the fleet alongside a couple of Cessna 208 Caravans for short domestic flights. Since the late 2010s, more of the airline's focus has been on refining its services, aiming for a high quality customer experience in all areas, and increasing Sri Lanka's position as both a connecting hub for South Asia and as a tourism destination. Currently, Lanka International is replacing its older A320 family and A330 jets with new A320neo family and A330neo aircraft.
I haven't really designed much for Asia before and South Asia is rather underrepresented on AE, so I thought I'd try a little something...and this was the result
Real Nice!
