In the 1960s, the jet-age was in full swing and even smaller airlines were rushing to acquire pure jet aircraft. Despite the fact that its fleet of jet-prop aircraft were relatively new and well-suited to the inter-island network, Hawaii-Pacific ended up ordering a number of BAC-111 jets in order to remain competetive with its main competitor. The airline took delivery of its first example in early 1966 and launched the new type on services to Kahului, Kona, and Hilo.
N11122, named Oʻahu, was the first BAC-111 IslandJet delivered to Hawaii-Pacific and was configured with 79 seats. It served with the airline until the introduction of the Boeing 737 in the early 1970s.
I was expecting a DC-9, but this works too, great work!

I wanted to something unexpected
Plus, Hawaii was one of the few places in the US where it was used irl, so I thought at least one of AE's Hawaiian carriers should have it in their history.
Love this!
This is amazing. Everything from the little details to the main design and lore is simple and immaculate. Well done.
^Thanks, guys!
Fantastic!
Oh my ****ing God, I love this so much! The One Eleven is a beautiful aircraft and I'm so glad you used it!
