SF 717

SF 717

FlyMakani.com has always been a supporter of Hawaiian local industries, and the seafood industry has long depended on Makani's shuttle flights to bring the freshest and finest Hawaiian seafood between the islands. In 2017, Makani introduced the airline's first special livery, designed with the Hawaii Seafood Council. The plane, a Boeing 717-200 named "Natalie", has been in service with Makani since new in 2002, and is 1 of 4 Boeing 717-200s the airline currently operates on their high demand inter island passenger routes. It was painted to resemble an Ahi Tuna, Hawaii's most famous and popular seafood. Instead of the iconic "Connecting Hawai'i" slogan, the 717 features "Fishing Hawai'i" on the engine cowling; and instead of the airline's green and orange Ukulele tail, this aircraft simply features the logo of the Hawaii Seafood Council, promoting its motto: Pure & Natural.
