MK 732

MK 732

The most versatile aircraft in FlyMakani.com's fleet is the Boeing 737-200C Combi, introduced to the fleet in 2004. At the time, it was to compliment both the 737-200F cargo fleet and the newly established passenger division, which utilized a fleet of Boeing 717-200 jets and Cessna 208 turboprops. Makani currently operates 737-200Cs, all delivered between 2004 and 2005 from other carriers. These jets feature a flexible cabin configuration, allowing them to take on full passenger or cargo loads if demand calls, but they are most often operated with 80 seats and 2 cargo pallets during the summer, or 44 seats and 4 cargo pallets during the winter. You can often find these jets on early morning departures out of Kahului or Honolulu, transporting commuters and freshly caught seafood alike. The 737-200C fleet are named: 2125 "Sophie", 2126 "Liz", and 2129 "Calista" (pictured).
