The introduction of the 777-300ER meant the slow and steady retirement of the airline's flagship Boeing 747-400s. With two fewer engines and similar seating capacity (First, Business, Economy) and range (if not longer), the 777-300ER was deemed the perfect replacement. The airline operates 35 of the type, and is deployed on long-haul routes like Los Angeles, San Francisco New York and London, as well as high-demand medium-haul routes like Sydney, Melbourne and Jakarta. The type works alongside the Airbus A350, which shares a similar role. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
