Columbian first ordered the -600 variant in December 1998 to replace its aging -200s, used for services in the far north of Canada.
In total, Columbian has operated 6 737-600s. All remain in service.
These aircraft are specially configured for flights in the far northern areas of Yukon, NT, Nunavut and Quebec.
This aircraft, C-GCAK, is currently based at Yellowknife (YZF)
It was the 195th 737NG produced.
