Adarna - South East Asian Airlines Boeing 747-3B9

Adarna - South East Asian Airlines Boeing 747-3B9

Showing some love to the second-least popular 747 variant, the -300. This aircraft was ordered by the airline in 1981, and continued to serve until the early-2000s. It flew premium trans-Pacific routes until it was relegated to comparatively shorter-haul routes like flights to Sydney when the 747-400 was introduced. This bird had a colorful life with Adarna, being the first 747-300 to be flown to the Americas and surviving a slight runway overrun in Bangkok in 1997. Before storage, she was converted into a cargo aircraft and served with a handful of cargo airlines around the world. Here she is in the 1970-1995 livery wearing a 1991 Manila SEA Games sticker.
