Adarna - South East Asian Airlines Airbus A330-300

Adarna - South East Asian Airlines Airbus A330-300

As with most Southeast Asian/Asia Pacific carriers, airline management thought that the A330/A340 aircraft from Airbus would be a good investment, and that they were. Orders started coming in around the early-1990s, and the example shown here is one of the first that the airline obtained in 1995, but with Star Alliance stickers as the airline decided to join it in 2002. The A330's role, as was the 777-300's, was to steadily replace older Airbus A300 aircraft, as well as the few remaining DC-10s the airline had left. Its A340 twin was responsible for complimenting the 747-400 in long-haul routes.
