Himmelbahn 763 2006-2015

Himmelbahn 763 2006-2015

The post Occidental pivot back towards managing two separate airlines with no plan to ever become one entity led to many operational changes for both Italiaggio and Himmelbahn. The changes which were most visible were the result of fleet redistribution and the new Himmelbahn livery. During the late and middle 2010s, most of KEF's resources went to improving and standardizing Italiaggio's then eclectic widebody fleet. This impacted Himmelbahn as its small pool of A330s traveled to Rome to join Italiaggio's existing pool of A330s and Himmelbahn received former Italiaggio 767-300s to take on the role of the Airbuses. These 767s operated until the introduction of A350s into the German fleet which marked the second time Himmelbahn had retired 767s. For a brief period of time around 2010, the fleet realignment left Himmelbahn with an all Boeing widebody fleet. The new livery returned Himmelbahn's logo and although some criticized it for blandness, it was much more successful that its predecessor and lasted over a decade in regular service.
