African 777 200

In the mid 1980s, African Airways needed a new look. Their livery as displayed on the 747SP had been in service since 1968 and was now well past its prime. The airline came back with a re-designed logo and a more modern font. Two versions of the livery exists. One with the current African Airways title, and one with the former, EAA titles. The name change came after a series of merges and transitions between the airline being state owned and privately owned. The airline would wear this livery on it's brand new flagship 777-200 once it accepted delivery of them in 1996, and would wear this livery until 2003. The airline did not experience much growth, or even decline through this entire era, nearly completely stagnating, but emerging with a bright future ahead.
