This is the second Southwest livery for today.
This is a bit more far fetched. In this situation, the MAX groundings dragged on longer, Boeing was financially unable to give Southwest a good deal, and Southwest decided to punish Boeing. Airbus gave Southwest a deal similar to how it gave deals to potential A300 customers and essentially gives Southwest a free lease. Southwest pounces at the opportunity and in March 2021, Southwest announces an order for 25 A220s, with options for 25 more, unlike the 100 strong MAX 7 order in reality. The first is delivered to Southwest three years later, transforming Southwest into a mixed fleet airline. These A220s, along with MAX 7s ordered later on, gradually replace the older 737-700s.
I'll apologize upfront for the variation in tail designs in all three liveries, as they are on my part. Nonetheless, I hope you like it.
