Air Hawaii | 2010s | Embraer E195

As the airline entered the mid-2010s, Air Hawaii sought a replacement for its older interisland fleet and considered several different options before settling on the Embraer 195. The company management decided that the E-Jet was the most suitable type that was still in production and met the specific requirements for inter-island operations. As a result, the carrier ordered 15 examples and began receiving the new aircraft in 2015. The type has proven to be well-suited for its role and is now a great favorite of both passengers and crews.

Aircraft N795HI, Koloa (named for the Hawaiian Duck), is fitted with 8 Paradise Class and 100 Voyager Class seats. Generally, this aircraft operates interisland routes to Kahului and Kona but sometimes flies the airline's once-weekly charter flight to Midway Island.
