Himmelbahn 772 1990-2002

Himmelbahn 772 1990-2002

The 747-400 was an important part of Himmelbahn's 90s fleet portfolio, but the 777-200 was a the true backbone of thinner long haul operations after Himmelbahn was its launch European customer in 1995. The aircraft supplanted and later replaced MD11s on routes like MUC - DTW and new long haul routes from its post-reunification Tegel hub like TXL - HKG. This air frame, christened Potsdam, was one of the latter delivered 777-200s which were based out of Berlin.
