AeroColombia Boeing 747 200 poster

Aero Colombia was a Colombian carrier that operated mostly out of Cali. The airline began in 1964 and operated until it's purchase by ANC in 1993. The airline's flagship was the Boeing 747-200, an airframe that ANC rescinded orders for during the 1970s oil crisis and thus ANC had no desire to keep the type in service. The aircraft were simply repainted to show the ANC logo and name before being retired at the end of the fleet's integration. The livery shown on the Aero Colombia branded 747 debuted in 1981 and was featured until the airline's acquisition.

The aircraft featured, Boeing 747-251B Registered HK-3066Y was delivered to Aero Colombia on December 22, 1973
