The Lockheed Vegas entered the country in 1928 and 1929 to act as mail carrying planes for the country's postal service. The relatively young aviation industry provided a large opportunity to connect the rest of the world. The Vegas left the country's air mail fleet in 1937. While the Vegas served for a short time, they started the aviation industry in Bergehochland.
