Alexandair (Alex-and-air or Alexand-air) is a German LCC founded in 1999, out of Berlin's SFX, now known as terminal 5 of BER. Alex the Bear has been their mascot and logo since the start, however his design has changed somewhat once in 2004, and then again in 2016. Alexandair flies almost exclusively 737-brand aircraft. Now Alexandair operates hubs all over Germany, including Dresden, Frankfurt Hann, Dortmund, and Hamburg. Expansion of hubs into EU nations was promising in 2019, however after the advent of COVID-19 Alexandair's entire future is uncertain.
