Empire Airways introduced the 747-400 in 1990, and they quickly became the mainstay on routes to Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and other far-flung destinations.
The cabins were updated in 2012, with first-class pods and an expanded executive business class on the upper deck.
These aircraft remain in service today.
