It's the Boeing 757, one of the most technologically advanced narrowbody jets on the market. PNA values technology. That's why over the next 6 years, we're recieving 50 of the Boeing 757-200 to phase out our aging Boeing 727-200 fleet.
N755PN was the first aircraft delivered, named Crawford, this aircraft was mainly used on domestic US services to New York, Dallas and Los Angeles.

About the descriptions: I actually quite like this style of caption, describing significant things happening that year both in terms of politics and culture. Probably isn't a universal thing, but seriously for this kind of airline it works really well.
