Itapemirim Poster

This old/new Brazilian airline was first created back in 1990 as a cargo division of Viação Itapemirim, one of the largest bus companies in Brazil, flying two Boeing 727-100F from Varig. In 1995 ITA was the first Brazilian airline to operate the freighter version of the 727-200; and in 1996, it started flying regional passenger routes with two Cessna Caravans.
In 1998 the airline was bought by Tam Airlines and by 2000, all planes were sold and the airline was shut down. But since 2019, the Itapemirim is planning to come back to the airline business and this come back is planned to March, 2021 and the airline has already 10 Airbus A320 on order.

The A320 livery shown here is based on some exemples shown by the Itapemirim Group, and I don't know if it's gonna be the NEO or the CEO version, but I decided to go with the NEO anyway

From the little information we have so far apparently they want to put "only" 110 seats on the A320, it will be very comfortable. At the beginning, the information was that they wanted to start operations with CRJ-200, CRJ-1000 and even A220.but it ended up being the a320

Itapemirim should have used the yellow/white livery for the new airline. The yellow/black isn't as good.

    Interesting

yeah they were really keen on Bombardier planes, they even considered the Q400

oh definitely, the old one was very original as well, this new one is very blank, but I guess this is a market trend :/

    Nice work!

    thanks mate ^_^

Very pretty, love the 727s here!

Thanks! the 727 are so lovely indeed

Veeeeery nice job, amigo, congrats! You see, their comeback has been heavily afforded by Arab financial funds (specifically UAE), and strongly supported by the government - Itapemirim's CEO is a very close friend to that donkey usually called as "president" by Brazilians. Specialized media in Brazil is now calling it "Bolsonair" LMFAO :-)))) Yeah, you're right, LATAM Brasil is shrinking day after day, and GOL is flying through a hurricane due to the B737 Max horror story - the company is sadly trapped by Boeing. Brazilian aviation forecast is uncertain but Itapemirim has a huge potential, though I doubt on their "wisdom" to select highly-skilled key people on time to start it up right on mid-February 2021, as they are promising. They are rushing, with no reason for (since the sector is not recovered from Covid-19 impacts yet), and this move can be a disaster... They are planning to start flying 3 A320 within 4 months, with no cash flow, no advertising at the moment, pending approval before Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency, still selecting the staff... moreover, querosene prices are skyrocketing in Brazil... well, let's see how it starts (or ends LOL)...

True, but this would imply on pushing too far for Itapemirim Group. They are the most traditional and biggest road logistics company in Brazil and probably will keep it as s***ty as the livery on their buses and trucks - they are all narrow-minded. They are conservative, old and tacky (aaaaand bankrupted). Forget about it, pal!

Supposedly flying on next February, playing with the skyrocketing price of the Brazilian querosene, barely having a staff... They might crack down like their Cargo division 20 years ago - already proved they're insane and incompetent.Their mainstream business (logistic land division) is currently under judicial recovery but they are still dreaming of starting an airline among this pandemic turmoil, in a country where unemployment rate is 13% (and rising) and purchase power parity is sinking faster than the Titanic... totally nonsense! I'm not sure if their Arab investors/shareholders are totally aware of the risks implied in this "dream"... it can turn to be a nightmare pretty soon.
