In 2013, Deutsche Hanseatic Group placed an order for 8 Boeing 747-8Fs, aiding in the replacement of the MD-11F and forming the new backbone of Hanseatic Cargo. Hanseatic Cargo operates on 3 trans-global routes, plus it's point to point network in conjunction with DWA partners across the globe. Hanseatic operates logistics offices in Munich, Berlin, Warsaw, Houston, New York, Toronto, Mexico City, Shanghai, and Dubai.

D-ACDH is named for New York, the first in a series of aircraft not named after German cities or states.
