Valiant Airways Livery 1962-1971

Valiant Airways Livery 1962-1971

Valiant saw great success with the Convair and later DC-8 jets in the early 60s and spurred by heating issues with their Convair propliner fleet in the cold winter, they quickly sought to modernize their regional propellor fleet and phase in jets in non-mainline service. Most of the orders went to Douglass for their DC-9 but a few went to Boeing's 727 for higher volume flights. The new 1962 livery would be more long lasting than its direct predecessor and would herald the airline extending to open a second hub in Washington DC as it encroached on the Northeastern region. This 727, named the Flint Flyer, was the third of its type delivered to Valiant and usually served the shuttle route from the brand new Dulles Int'l Airport to Boston.

On a more meta level, I know the background is terrible - I couldn't be bothered to make something look nice but I promise I'll work on backgrounds eventually. I'm not sure about the colour scheme so the 1971 livery will probably change our colours. Please tell me what y'all think.
