RABENDA (ラベンダー航空サービス) Bombardier CRJ-1000

RABENDA (ラベンダー航空サービス) Bombardier CRJ-1000

Rabenda Air Services is a regional Japanese airline which mostly operates a fleet of Bombardier Q400 & CRJ-type aircraft, with a small number of Airbus A220's and DHC-6's with floats for its services to smaller islands that would otherwise only be reachable by boat.

The origins of the airline can be traced back to 1971, being established by Hirabayashi Kiminobu - a trader of culinary and medicinal herbs. The fleet initially consisting of an used DC-6 cargo aircraft, used to speed up the delivery and purchase of goods. Later the airline expanded to passenger transport, and eventually the cargo airline was spun off into a new company - Rabenda Air Cargo (ラベンダ航空貨物).
