Boeing 747-200 Flugelag Islands

Back in 1971 Flugfélag Íslands was a solely 747 operator until the first 737-200 arrived in 1974. The 737-200s received another livery since it was deemed not possible to apply this livery on the 737.

    livery also looks a tad dated for the 70s

     

    It is said that this was a holdover from the late 60's till their 737's got delivered

     

    That said this looks fantastic!

     

    This is actually about as 70s aesthetic as you can get.

    i mean the unpainted windows make this look like a dc-7 livery to me but to each their own
