New Mexico Sunlines 737 200

New Mexico Sunlines was founded in 1984 as Southwestern Air Charters, and after relocating from Tuscon, AZ to Albuquerque, NM in 1986 was re-branded to New Mexico Sunlines, and the following year, commenced scheduled services with a pair of used 737-200's on May 27th, 1987; flying a single route from ABQ to Las Vegas. The airline quickly gained popularity for its convenience and frequency of service.

And in an odd twist of fate upon completing the paint job, the workmen felt as though it was missing something, and quickly painted a cactus on the nose, becoming the company's un-official mascot until it was fully adopted in 1990, spearing in numerous advertisements since.

(This livery is heavily inspired by Sun Country's former DC-10's)

    I like it!

Dang that so cool. Better than my New Mexico airline.
