Lockheed L1011-500

Lockheed L1011-500

In the early to mid 80s, Californian was looking to expand westward to Hawaii. Needing a three or four engine aircraft, they settled on local manufacturer Lockheed and procured a small fleet of Lockheed 1011 aircraft.

Soon after, ETOPS rules made the engine requirement unneeded, and Californian was saddled with a slightly more inefficient airliner than what was needed. These aircraft were flown until 1996, when they were replaced with Boeing 757-300 aircraft.

This aircraft is shown in Californian's first livery, used from 1978 to 1999.

Looks nice! IMO, I would make the belly wing fairing thing grey to match the metal, and either make the engines full or half metal

    Good call, done!

great attention to detail, love it!

Tristars seem to just fit with West coast airlines. Nicely done!

Thanks!  I'm trying to get much more small detail in my liveries.

Do you plan to make a Boeing 757-300?
