tydelignorsk - Q300 Final Flight

On this day, tydelignorsk marks the final ever commercial service of its DHC 8-300 turboprop. The airline's first aircraft, it is being returned to its lessor early, as its maintenance costs outweigh its added capacity, and with the arrival of a new Cessna 208 to take over the routes, it is no longer an asset to the fleet. tydelignorsk has announced, "The Q300 was our first aircraft, but it was only ever a temporary solution, we never officially announced its use, and it was not featured in advertisements, but we are aware that passengers enjoyed flying onboard it, and as such we would like to reassure them that our new aircraft will feature the same standards of service in the cabin. We will be retaining our Q300 pilot training facilities, meaning that if demand is high enough, one will re-enter the fleet."
The airline has also mentioned that it will be considering the ATR 42-600S to serve some of its shorter runways.
