States West | McDonnell Douglas MD-80

States West launched operations in 1983 with its first MD-80s from San Diego. By 1993, the airline had grown to a fleet of over 50 aircraft and operated hubs at SAN and HOU. The MD-80s were retired in the 1990s and replaced with MD-90s and 717s.
