Japan Airlines - Boeing 747-346SR

JA8187 "Super Resort Express Okinawa" / Messed with some dust and grime again on this one, based on the irl picture from the 2nd bullet point below. Looks pretty good I'd say.

This aircraft wore a fair few different paint schemes over its lifetime.

- Delivered new to JAL in 1988, it first wore JAL's 1980s cheatline colors.

- In the early '90s it was painted into the striking pink bird scheme depicted in this paint, flying on the Tokyo-Okinawa route as part of JAL's "Reso'cha" campaign.

- Sometime in the late '90s the airframe was transferred to JALways and recieved a different Reso'cha livery with JALways titles.

- In 2007 the airframe was withdrawn from use and sold (?) to Wells Fargo, wearing the registration N742UN and a stripped down white livery

- Finally in 2009 it was shipped off to Russia and flew for another four years with Transaero as VP-BGW, eventually being retired and stored in 2013.

Oh hey, I see this 747 at DME every few weeks. I knew it flew for JAL and JALways but I never realized it also wore that absolutely adorable bird livery...this is so cute!
