NIA Fleet Detail

NIA Fleet Detail

NIA (Nigeria International Airways) would be the flag carrier of Nigeria, the most populous nation in Africa. It is a nation that is growing rapidly, both in terms of its population and its economy. Additionally, it is located at a strategic location (Lagos is only a few hundred miles from 0'N/S 0'E/W), and can serve as a halfway point between South America and Europe/Middle East. NIA's business model would be to concentrate flights from the rest of Africa (especially West Africa, where some countries are growing just as fast as Nigeria), through Lagos and Abuja, to Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.

As far as the fleet goes:
A380-used on the mainline trunk routes from Lagos to New York, Dubai, and London.
A330-used on other longer-haul flights, including those to South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, Europe, India, Southeast Asia, and the Americas
A319-used on regional flights within West Africa, and some for the rest of the Africa
E170-used on domestic flights and short-distance/lower-demand regional routes
