FlyViking's SAAB fleet consisting of SAAB 2000 and SAAB 340 aircraft ran the low-demand regional route network in Sweden from 1985 to 2005 when they were phased out and replaced with the much faster ERJ aircrafts. The airline was one of the manufacturer's best customers and it truly was a sad day when productions ceased for good. The new regional jets offer much more in terms of speed and punctuality, but nothing can truly replace the warm and cozy experience these Swedish turboprops had offered through the years.
