The 747-400ERs where the only 747s to be operated by Skywind fitted with GE CF6 engines while the rest were all fitted with Rolls Royce engines. The -400ERs where assigned to Asian and Oceanic routes for example: Manlia, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Sydney and Auckland. These -400ERs where the last 747s to wear the 1996-2010 livery. Although the -400ERs retirement hasn't been planned yet there are still plans to keep them flying till they reach around 28 - 30 years old. The -400s and -400Ms are planned to be retired in 2024/26 as Skywind takes on board 8 new B747-8i and 6 B787-9s. Both B747-400s/ERs are configured in a four class configuration consisting of 18 First Class Seats, 32 Business Class Seats, 72 Economy Plus Seats and 532 Standard Economy Seats which includes a decent amount of legroom.

None of Skywind's 747-400/M/ER has had an accident.
