Northern Cargo Boeing 767-300ERF

Northern Cargo operates as a subsidiary of Northern Airlines and has since 1978. The fleet has changed form operating a fleet of 747F jets to now only operating five 767-300ERF jets with plans to suspend operations in 2020 to only move cargo via the mainline fleet and if necessary sub-contract it. In early 2004 Northern Cargo had their operating certificate suspended due to miss management and lack of safety standard after a 747-200f engine caught fire after start up in Anchorage Alaska and a multiple other small incidents. forcing the airline to sell and retire most of the 747-200F freighters in operation and close their maintenance base before regaining their operating certificate by proving they could maintain their fleet using their parents maintenance facilities.
